Project Management & Design
Investigate - Listen & Ask - Proposal.
Planning a new solution require a clear understanding of the proposal area - space - floor & ceiling structure - power - cooling - room access - usability. Equipment replacement may be the same or different type, sometime a re-configuration of the area provides better access or usability and improve patient flow.
utilising redundant rooms or old processing rooms can make a huge improvement and add future proofing.
By carrying out accurate measurements and looking at the whole area sometimes new ideas can be suggested and implimented.
Sometimes if size is restricted the need to look at alternative areas is required.
The site survey will identify this from a very early stage and ensure a project can start.

Services
Services we can provide to assist in your project becoming a reality.

Here are some of the services we can provide to aid a project.
Being able to rely on vast experience of teams with the correct skill sets ensures any project can be carried out and managed from start to finish.
Room Layout Design
Fit for purpose - Patient Flow - usability.
The layout of a room and its surrounding areas will show how the equipment will fit in the space available.
This also needs to be fit for purpose and be comfortable to use.
Key here is to not only show the equipment will fit in the space provided but also to show ancillary items, all Group 1,2&3 equipment, furniture, trolley,s etc that will be in the space at all times.
Patient flow and access for beds and trolleys is very important.
It has to be comfortable for staff to use day in, day out, and provide a sensible room setup for the duration of the service and equipment lifecycle. Using the latest AutoCAD software and room database (ADB) along with the relevant HBN's HTM,s etc, ensures the correct requirements for the room are achieved.
Turnkey Build Works
Experience - understanding - knowledge
To deliver a project on time requires a full understanding of the requirements along with experience of carrying out the type of project planned.
Providing an accurate timescale and cost form understanding the requirements will help to ensure minimum downtime and completion of build works required to prepare the room and area ready for equipment installation.
By using experienced turnkey providers the project becomes a total package where all elements are managed under Mediprojex.
All areas can be included and managed with interface between the relevant parties. CDM, Building Control, RPA, Fire Officer, Infection Control, Estates/Maintainance.
By using several build contractors to quote ensures competative quotes and a uk wide, availability for Turnkey projects.
New Equipment Installation
Delivered - Installed & Commissioned.
Prior to delivery the route will be surveyed with risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) being produced.
Understanding the busy Hospital environment and risk to patients and staff, delivery of large equipment will normally take place out of hours, early morning or late night, sometimes over the weekend.
Once delivered the equipment manufacturers engineering team will be programmed to carry out the installation, commissioning and training of the equipment.
Once installed and passed by relevant Radiation Protection Advisor - Medical Physics checks - critical exams the equipment is ready for use and training can begin.
The Project now at an end can be signed off and completed.
Mediprojex will ensure all the relevant documentation, signoff and approvals are completed to close off the project.
Project Planning
Time - Cost - Scope -Quality - Benefit- Risk.
Project managing a project from start to finish involves communication and alignment of many tasks and diary resource.
We can organise and plan whole project installation, some key task items are:
1. Logistics for removal of old equipment.
2. Organise turnkey or non turnkey build.
3. 3rd party equipment.
4. delivery of equipment.
5. Installation of Equipment.
6. Handover and Training.
Manage all of the elements to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget.
We understand the importance of minimising downtime and ensuring completion of the project is maintained.
Problem solving and resolving issues whilst maintaining open dialouge and good communication aids understanding of who is doing what and when.
Regular project meeting to update progress and tackle issues is also included.
Old Equipment Removal
Scrap - re-sale - re-located - temporary.
With the majority of projects, new equipment will usually be purchaced to replace existing old equipment.
This is sometimes not working or not viable for repair.
It can also be in good working order but new technology and reliability can dictate it is time for a change.
Old equipment can be removed for re-use or scrap or even to re-locate elsewhere within the organisation.
Logistics can be arranged and organised to allow this to be managed correctly and disposal carried out using the correct waste disposla route (WEEE regulations).
there may also be a requirement to provide a temporary solution during the service disruption, old working units can be installed as a temporary solution to maintain service. This can also be planned and organised with Mediprojex.
Risk assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) can be produced for all removals and installations.
